Yes, I run them in tandem with PS Audio P5's & P10's.

I use a CyberPower 850 UPS. It's nothing fancy but good enough for my network and for an orderly shutdown of my NAS. With a Synology NAS you can configure it to send you email alerts if the NAS goes on battery backup, and schedule it to shut down after a set number of minutes. For me it's not about having a battery supply to run the system, it's just about being able to do a clean shut-down.

Yes, for the NAS and the computer connected to the NAS along with modem and routers.

After 5 minutes or less than 50% on UPS, I shut down the NAS and computer automatically.

Ppp s here too, also a few S wave type apc ups backups and a very large apc for the main server. Should put the entire house on a 3 fuel ac generator system some day too.

Thanks Ivan, so just to clarify, by tandem do you mean you have P5's and P10's plugged into the same outlets as the PP units or the P5's and P10's are literally plugged into the PP units? What particular PP unit(s) do you have? I know you said original but did they have a particular model number?

So I have been checking what types of units would be available to me via local dealers or Internet Direct and so far it's Furman (local dealers) and APC (Internet Direct). I have an e-mail out to PurePower to see if there are any dealers handy.

The Furman unit I'm eying is the FI1500-UPS which is rated at 1500VA and can accept a battery extension via the BATT1500-EXT for an additional time (4x that of the base unit alone). The FI1500 has 8 outlets and can be equipped with a network module so you can control remotely.

APC has a couple units, the S15BLK at 1.5kVA (so the same as the base Furman unit) and the S20BLK with a bit less battery capability, 1.25kWA but adds network manageability. Both units have 12 outlets.

Anyone have thoughts on these 3 units?

Make sure that the UPS outputs a sine wave...a lot of UPS for computers and peripherals output a square wave, which is something to avoid for audio equipment.

Great point!! Avoid square wave, really ugly stepped sine wave, or triangle wave outputs.
