Any Favorite Hand-Me-Down Gear?
I’ve got a few pieces from my dad. One is a ‘78-‘80 JVC JR-S81H receiver. It found its way back to me twice now. It never was a great receiver, but it sure makes me smile when I fire it up on occasion.

Inherited rather than hand-me-down:
From a friend who passed away (23 years ago next month), 70s vintage Yamaha CA-1010 amp and CT-1010 tuner. From my dad: 60s AR-XA turntable.

4 years ago I inherited a rather large vintage audio collection from my best friend who unexpectedly passed away. His only family was his sister who is a school teacher and her husband who is a doctor. They wanted nothing to do with his rooms full of vintage gear Luxman, Mcintosh, Crown, Kenwood etc. so it came here by the truckload rather than the dumpster.

A dear friend who was downsizing his audio gear, handed down a Dynaco ST-35 tube amp and a plethora of high end interconnects and speaker cables.
