Vinyl resurgence on CBS Morning News
Yesterday there was about a 5 minute segment on vinyl w/the Black Keys on CBS. There's a bit w/an owner of a US pressing plant talking about his future expansion, pretty interesting.

I saw it as well yesterday morning. Did you notice the vintage McIntosh 225 amp on the shelf during the Black Key's interview. Good segment.

The vinyl revolution is pretty amazing.......I didn't know this but there are even a whole bunch of Whole Foods Markets now which have a pretty decent sized rack of vinyl in their stores. I thought it was a joke at first but nope, they're carrying it. Amazing.

That was the second segment in less than a year they've had I vinyl including a segment on high end audio gear. I'm certainly glad for the resurgence of vinyl if for know other reason than it gives me something else for my grandchildren to relate to. It really makes me feel good to be cool again in the eyes of young folks. My eldest grand daughter is in her second year at Florida State and is getting into vinyl. Couple weeks back she brought some of her friends over from school and it was great to be able to talk about something they were all interested in that I actually knew something about. Naturally having a killer sound system helped but still, I'll take any chance I can to stay close to the grand kids.
