Interesting product. Indeed not cheap but you get 3 pieces of gear in one: pre, power and DAC.

The second product in the series will be like the current preamp (no power), but adding a DAC and streaming (pre, DAC, streaming).

Glenn, thank you for clarifying.
Still means it is saving space in an audio rack.

No. When I was talking to Dan at a recent event he indicated the tone controls would go on these products. |

Bart, I totally agree and very interested in achieving the sound I'm looking for, but with minimal equipment in rack..
Jim, thanks. I've been interested in Dagostino equipment, but having never heard them, wondering if they would provide the sound I'm looking for. I've read all the great reviews but heard they can be somewhat on the warm side. I'm looking for more detail, openness, extended on higher frequencies that I'm not getting from the Ayre KX-5/VX-5 and Amati Futura combo. So I would be interested in this, but really like the idea of tone controls on my next pre so I can tweak the highs if lacking. Looking at Dagostino, Devialet 800's and Burmester 911/088, but haven't heard any of these yet. Wish I could have made it to CES this week.

Nice! But personally sad to see the tone controls go - about 30-40% of my music collection could still benefit from them.
Given choice, I'd opt for their normal integrated with tone controls and run a separate server if need be. With current pacing in technological advances, 5-7yrs down the road, their 'traditional' unit's value will probably still fare acceptably well in the secondary/used market, whilst I doubt this MLife would. |

Yes, both units were to be available according to Dan back in October.
