Glad to hear it worked out.
My Delta v2 NR arrived just minutes ago. So I have some settling time of my own to look forward to.

Still waiting on word when my Sigma XC will arrive. Looking forward to see what improvement there will be.
I plan on ordering a Sigma v2 NR for my DAC in the near future. |

I use a Triton V3 and Typhon combo (not the QR)
Changed the wall cord feeding the Triton from original Sigma HC to the new Sigma XC A very definite change The new Sigma XC is gold in my system. Ed

In terms of Alpha NR v2 vs. Sigma NR v2, looking at the specs, the only difference is the conductor size, everything else appears to be identical, correct? See below, from website, bottom of last page:
https://shunyata.com/download/13808/ So, because of this, if using into a relatively low current gear (I.e DAC, preamp, etc), then there is no advantage to getting Sigma as compared to just getting an Alpha? I realize that for high current Amps Sigma May work better. Thanks! |

Preamp/High-end DAC does benefit from higher gauge ie. Sigma level.
It might seem counter intuitive but many who tried it reports the difference clearly. If not, save yourself money and get the alpha level. |

Having compared Sigma NRv2 to Alpha NRv2 directly, the Sigma provides more "absolute performance" on power amps, preamps, DACs, etc than Alpha NR v2. The presentation is more "forceful", dynamic and Sigma actually sounds a bit louder at the same gain setting on the preamp than Alpha. That being said, however, Alpha V2 is a superb and beautiful-sounding power cord, and particularly well-suited, IMHO for components e.g. preamps, DACs and phono stages. It has a gorgeous but truly neutral, layered, and finely articulated presentation and quality to it that serves the musical presentation really beautifully. For no-compromise, no-holds-barred systems in dedicated rooms, especially large rooms, next to Omega QR, its the best you can get. But, in my small space, I've found that Simga XC and NRv2 on the power amp and Alpha NRv2 on the preamp works really well for me. Another analogy I find to be particularly accurate: Sigma NRv2 is like a Porsche GT2 RS, incredibly fast, powerful, the production car that holds the oturight lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The Alpha NRv2 is like a Porsche GT3 RS, not as fast in an absolute sense, but the perfect car for a beautiful twisy mountain road or the classic Targa Florio circuit. They are both superb, but in different ways, each well-suited for different systems and rooms.

Old thread, but I wanted to ask about the best PC for an all in one integrated amp. I have the Venom NR-V10 now, but have wondered if it's overkill to go with the Delta or Alpha V2s as an all in one PC.

See if you can demo from your dealer or rent one from thecablecompany, an Alpha NR v2 and answer your question with data. Best way.

No, I don't think its overkill to put a Delta NRv2 or Alpha NR v2 on your integrated at all. The new Delta NRv2 is the same gauge as the Venom NR-V10, but now has VTX-Ag condutors, CopperCONN connectors for the plugs, and a newly inproved NR noise filter that is more effective than the one in the Venom NR-V10. It's a notable step up in performance than the Venom NR-V10 with greater clarity, transparency, and faster dynamics. The Alpha V2 is all that and more, with a really loveley and very musical presentation that has excellent layering of the soundstage, and detailed articulation and resolution. Its a really beautiful-sounding PC and my personal choice for my preamp and DAC. If you become a Subscriber, MasterLu can provide you with excellent service and support for Shunyata Research products.
