I believe VAC's are made here in Sarasota. I must get over for a tour (if they give them!)

Yes, they are Mike & Kevins Mom, 92 years old (named Margot) runs the office (she and her husband, who has passed, started the company and Kevin has continued on with the family business). Isn't that just great.

A small operation -- Kevin and maybe 3 or 4 others in the shop building those jewels.

Best

Bob

P.S. I believe they do offer tours. Call 'em up and speak to Mrs Hayes.

Huge SS and accurate depth. The bass, even though listed at 30Hz seems to me to be even lower than the spec. Having said that though & to be perfectly honest, I doubt I could tell the difference between 22Hz and 28Hz.

They aren't lacking whatsoever in that department. I was playing Holly Cole and Jennifer Warnes of which have great deep bass on selected tracks and was immensley happy. No looking back in that department. I would like to play Hugh Masekelas' LP this evening for that drum solo appreciation.

The mid bass is moreso distinguishable from the bass notes -- more seperation/air there and are taut with a fast treble. That ribbon tweeter and those ceramic drivers are the key to this speaker (and the Absolute Sounds Golden Ear Award Winner; the C1.1's).

I can also hear the different layers of treble now and these speakers are not bright nor harsh neither. Very extended & very pleasant to the ears.

These have just over 12 hours on them -- need to get at least 30-50 at the first noticeable point of break in.

Absolutely very satisfied with them and an upward move IMO.

Best

Bob

Mike,

I've heard those babies in Reg's home with his MC2301's and C500T. I know how scary good they sound. Well done my friend.

Wrong thread Joe -- just sayin' (I know we bounce all over like an uncontrolled basketball dropped from 1,000 feet).
