Pete.......I am looking forward to your visit tomorrow. It's always fun to show off your toys. I'm pretty confident you will like what you hear and see.

Cisco,
A big congrats!!!

I love to see you guys acquiring items that you have long lusted for.

They are. in my mind, the most beautiful stand mounted speakers ever crafted and from all that I have heard sound as good as they look.

Enjoy them for a long time to come.

Beautiful speakers, 'cisco. Congratulations.

How much are you guys paying for a new pair of GM's these days? Here are the quotes I got from a local Magnolia store:

Guarneri Memento - $12,000/pr
Cremona M - $9,200/pr
Elipsa - $17,000/pr
Auditor M - $4,250/pr

I actually didn't ask the price initially - the Elipsa looked most expensive due to its size and it was a no brainer, but I wasn't sure whether the GM or the Auditor M was more expensive. I listened to all for a month before pulling the trigger on the pair of Elipsa for its scale and authority (I listen to large symphony), but I LOVED the way GM reproduced human voice. Between the Auditor M and the GM, I would have picked the GM for that alone.... until I found out the price difference between the two!

I would love to own a pair of GM down the road, but I can't afford $12K for a pair of two way bookshelf. So, if any of you ever decide to get rid of your pair, call me first

When I bought my GM, it was 15K USD. If the GM is indeed 12K new at the moment, it is a bargain.

Sorry for stealing the topic. I just wonder anyone here using Yter cables for their Sonus faber? I would be very appreciate if you can give me some opinions regarding the cables, both speaker cable and interconnect.. Thanks^^

Warm regards,
Hiroyuki

PS. I couldn't start a new thread, don't know why? I did send an email to masterlu long ago.. but still can't do it until now.
