Default MX150 DSP error

This weekend I started receiving a "Cirrus DSP internal error" on the display of my MX150.

No Sound..

So far I have unplugged the unit for 2 + hours.
Did a factory reset via the installers menu.

Still getting the error.

Any other troubleshooting procedures?

Another user recently reported the same and did not indicate a fix. I suggest you contact McIntosh via their website and submit a technical support request.

Update: Contacted Mcintosh Tech support, they were very responsive. We tried several remedies to correct the error but it the end the issue remained.

I dropped the MX150 off at my local dealer who will send it to the only authorized Mcintosh repair facility in Germany.

I had a similar error with my MX151 when I received it after it was shipped - I had the same error message. Called McIntosh and they suspected one of the boards had partially become unseated and needed to be pushed in firmly. I removed the cover and followed their instructions. They were correct!

Update - The MX150 is still at the authorized repair shop. What I gather is they have been corresponding with McIntosh troubleshooting the unit. No fix as of yet.

Update - The MX150 is still at the authorized repair shop awaiting a part being shipped from the states. Hopefully this will remedy the error.

Sorry you are still having an issue...............and waiting and waiting is not fun. The MX150 is an old unit now but I still love mine.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
