OK this new release SACD for breakfast in America arrived today, I will give it a major listen to tonight and review for us later. MFSL Label Ultradisc UHR MOFI
And so it has the Hybrid Redbook layer and SACD layer as well. it is a UDSAD 2189 Stereo disc, no 5.1 etc. Which I think is fine, has a digi pack with the song titles and words. Mastered by Rob LoVerde at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Sebastopol, CA on THE GAIN HD SYSTEM (records)™ " Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab gratefully acknowledges and thanks these individuals and companies for their technical support and expertise: Tim de Paravicini, Pass Labs, Lipinski Sound, and Sound Application. Any sonic artifacts present are a product of the original master tape. Attempts to eliminate them would have negatively impacted the integrity of the presentation." And lastly, I am thinking maybe I should get the latest 180 cut too, I mean I only have about 8 copies Last edited by djwhog; 09-28-2018 at 04:35 PM. |

Quote:
The MQA cd is a PCM conversion of the DSD transfer used for the SHM-SACD whereas the Tidal is probably based on the regular hi-res remaster.
