I have not yet tried the headphone jack. I've got a pair of Sennheisers, but not really a headphone fan.
Bought them for travel use only. It won't really see any headphone use from me.
I will be using my Shahinian Compass with this setup. I think these speakers will do great with the Luxman.

I am not much of a headphone user either, except for occasional late nights. I am sure the phone out is fine for what I need.

Very nice. Are you in a larger sized room?
Just curious why not go with the L-550AX? Your speakers look to be pretty easy to drive and considerably more sensitive than my Guarneri's.
The 590 is awesome, just curious. In my 11'x15' room, the 550AX is more than I could ever use surprisingly.

Honestly, the only reason I went with the 590 is to "future proof". I might change my speakers and don't want to be in a situation where my amp is out of juice. I guess a little part of me also screams MOAR

Cannot argue with that logic.
Congrats! :-)

What are your overall detailed thoughts on the Luxman L-590AX?

I have considered moving up to this unit from my L-550AX...I honestly believe I have plenty of current and overall power, but 50% more power and fully balanced should be a positive move forward for me with the Guarneri Evolutions.
