The 1Tb SSD looks as a great option to me, both for noise reduction as for increased storage. I would be very inclined to do this as it makes it possible to place the MC200 back closer to my endpoint (currently MS200 but ID41 soon to be). Does anyone experience any issues as for instance declined software update by Meridian or warranty issues?

Yes warranty goes out the door since Meridian is not doing the 'backup to SSD' service yet. But they will probably have to atleast think on what to do about it in the coming years since mechanical HDD does not run for eternity.

Nope, but SSD wear is contained to writes. Sooloos store tracks once then play them. Hardly ever replace data. That is a perfect fit for an application on SSD.

Ah, so a SSD will go literally silent at some point as well. Mm, need to read more about these things then. I am a mechanical engineer, i know how these are made but how they work is just magic to me.
