Robert, excellent choice. I'm a Balvenie fan myself particularly that PortWood that has slightly portuguese flavour (port).

I'm now drinking the Balvenie 12 year double wood.

One of the things we enjoy most about our trips to Champoluc is the Valle D'Aosta wines, almost unknown outside of the area as they simply don't produce enough for export. Quite similar to the flinty quality of a good Chablis at rather more reasonable prices (18 euros in a restaurant is about average).
