SE amp upgrades

Greetings,

I have a few questions to anyone who has had their ref75, ref150 or ref250 amps upgraded to the SE, by ARC! What was your turn-around time? Who pays for shipping? Was the entire transaction worth it to you.

I would be interested as well. Looking to upgrade my REF 250's to 250SE's. With the introduction of the new G series preamps, I'm wondering how long it will be before ARC comes out with new REF mono-block amps incorporating the G series aesthetic. For the $9K cost of the 250 to 250SE upgrade, the introduction of a "better" REF amp, would make this upgrade "obsolete." I know, I know, audiophiles like to feel their current components are the top of the line at least for a while. LOL!

I had my Ref75 upgraded in November. It was just under a month with shipping times included. About 2 weeks at the facility and about a week each way.

My upgrade was handled by my dealer as part of the purchase so I can't say if ARC pays for shipping. I doubt it though. The SE upgrade sounds great but I cannot say how well my system improved because I changed out other gear at the same time.
