nicoff,

Thank you for posting your pictures. You have assembled a very nice system. I have ordered 30 foot cables for my subs so I will have to try your setup firing them in from the sides. I see that you have the from spikes off your Mye stands to tilt them forward. Did you notice a very big difference when doing that?

Mike,
Yes I have the Mye stands and the Maggie's are firing at an angle. I did notice a difference when changing the angle of the speakers by tilting the top toward the listening position (a more cohesive soundstage).

I owe this new speaker/subs location to Barry Ober (the Sounddoctor). He works with JL Audio and on his own and has written white papers (available free of charge) about how to best integrate subs into your system. He suggests suggest the "crawling" method to find the best location(s) for your sub(s) in your room (there is more than one location).

nicoff,

Thank you for the tips. Now that I have the longer cables (30 foot) installed to my JL F110's I can try to dial them in. I think I saw it suggested in Jim Smiths book "Get Better Sound" about tipping the speakers forward. I never thought about taking the front spikes of the Mye stands to tilt them forward.
