Default Rotel + B&W Sub

Hello everyone! I'd like some advice on how to hook up a B&W subwoofer with a stereo pre-amp, as I have only ever done this with receivers (dedicated sub out line). I would like to use the crossover on the sub to send anything above 80hz to my B&W 683S1's. What are my options for doing this with a Rotel RC-1082? I would rather not use the speaker terminals on the sub because that would mean purchasing another set of speaker cables. For those not familiar with the Rotel, here is a back drawing.

Your preamp has two sets of RCAs. I'd simply connect your sub to the second set and see how it sounds after you tweak it to the mains. I'm pretty sure you'll find this to work quite well.

Thanks for the reply! But going this route doesn't filter out / crossover anything going to the 683's 😔

Correct. Why not just let them naturally fall off and have the sub pick up the lows? I'm pretty sure that's how most are doing it here, but I may be wrong. Can't hurt to try it anyway.

The 683's can handle well under 80hz so you should be fine, especially with that much power. Matter of fact, I've had your exact set up (minus the table) and used a pair of B&W ASW610XP's subs xover at 50ish and that set up was awesome!!

When I had my Rotel amp/pre I used the second set of output for the sub and rolled the sub off at 50 Hz and ran the B&W N804 full range.
