Dale, when I received my Cortese the first couple of days I thought I had made a mistake, just give it a couple of days.
Congrats,
Ken

Mine sounded great right off the bat, but it was not quite up to powering the Harbeth C7s at more than moderate volume.

No problem with driving the Lafite or Petite Latour!

So you now have the Petite Latour's delivered. Do tell your observations with these speakers when you get a chance.

JJ,

I'll have to do that! They are all I thought they would be.

How's it working out for you? I'm thinking of a similar setup.

Just installed the Cortese on the weekend and have only listened for about 3 hrs. so far. First impressions after replacing the Montille is one of hearing so many more layers to the music. Broader and much taller soundstage. Detailed and precise without being sterile. Definitely a bit lacking in bottom end for now.
But the bass that's there is nicely balanced and defined. Acoustic instruments, especially guitars are scarily lifelike. I'm hoping the bass will build as it gets more time on it as I'm most definitely missing that grunt that I know the O/96s
can put out.
Overall a very nice step forward on the Shindo road.

Voices and especially classical guitar are amazing. Still miss the Cortese. I found once the amp burned in the bass was actually very nice.
