Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup matches today was amazing for much of the day. The gold was spectacular. The matches between Mickelson and Garcia along with McIlroy and Reed was some of the best golf I can remember watching. First on the 8th hole McIlroy dropped a 60-foot birdie putt, leaped into the air and cupped his hand to his ear, mocking the American crowd to yell even louder. Reed then holed a birdie putt from 35 feet, charging the crowd before turning to wag his finger at McIlroy. They bumped fists and patted each other on the back, both 5-under through eight holes. Mickelson had 10 birdies on the day, just amazing.

I really enjoyed this entire match having watched many, many hours starting on Friday AM. There was great golf played by both sides all three days.
Happy for the US team. We needed this one.

Great that the USA won. Just need to figure out how to compress it all into something manageable, like 2 hours.

Craig - used to golf. Put in an amazing number of hours doing so in the '80s (as I look back). Could never get below a 9 handicap so gave it up (probably needed better clubs
). Rather do it with a shotgun (sporting clays) these days. If I had been home I am sure I would have watched (if the weather was bad).

The injuries one shakes off when younger (<50, or even 60) make golf impossible now that I'm just short of 70. Not sure I can make a full rotation (shoulder, knee and, especially, the right ankle) these days. Unfortunately, golf is in my past. Not long until it will be time to break some clays.
