I can't help but wonder if there isn't some humorous undertone to having a coffin for a fish, so I have to ask, doesn't the head of the coffin box usually open on the left side? And is that a section of a towel rack I see in the upper left corner of the photo? Is the toilet within reach?

In my family, for generations, our elders told us not to mourn, the day of the funeral was enough and just to keep them in mind and to go on with our lives. We always did fun things after funerals either at home or some location that was relevant to the deceased. For example, after my grandmother died, everybody went out to Nathan's at Coney Island before coming back to my parent's house, because she probably took all of us there as children for a good time at one time or another, and it was just the right place for us to remember fun times with her.

Don,
My condolences for your loss of Fish.

YOu had me worried before I read this thread as I thought it might be about Smokey!

Stephen, kitty's doing great despite him being neutered a week ago yesterday. I wasn't 100% sure I would do this but in the end felt it would be better for his health in the end. What I got in the end was a kitty that has become a bit more calm and hasn't sprayed or peed outside of his litter box except got the day I picked him up from the vet.
As for the fish, he wasn't so lucky and I appreciate the words posted here by you and everyone else. Truthfully I'm not really upset and this was more of a tongue n' cheek post. In the end what it did was bring out the truly caring nature of AA members. Again, thank you all.
