I've heard a number of people describe the larger Duntech and/or Dunlavy speakers as "Monkey Coffins." Perhaps that is because, or should be because, they wish to be buried in them.

Some of the finest loudspeaker offerings ever available - so long as you have the proper room to fit them!

p.s.: Though my amps and preamp say VTL - they were from the pre-split days, and are closer to what Manley offers today, versus VTL. VTL Ultimate and VTL De Luxe 120.

Hello. This is my first posting. I'm going to buy Manley Snapper and searching for best matching pre. As I don't run analog for now, my first thought was Manley reference pre, however it's not easy to get these days. Current Snapper owner suggested Accuphase. I'd like you to share your experiences. My speakers are custom-made full Accuton 3way 5unit including Diamond tweeter, Fischer and Fischer SN450, and Elac FS509VX-Jet. Thanks in advance.

In my limited experience I found using my Accuphase E450 as a pre with the Snappers just resulted in it all sounding *Accuphase*, not a bad thing in itself, but a waste of the beautiful Snappers imho. On the other hand, any of the Manley range would fit perfectly, but my own rather left field preference is a relatively inexpensive UK pre, the Croft Micro 25R, nothing much to look at, but divine sound! And a wonderful mm phono stage built in if you're a vinyl spinner. But whatever you try, my own recommendation would be keep it tubes all the way

Thank you, magoo.
I will try tube pre, probably Manley pre first.

Little too quiet over here at the Manley forum. So......... decided to wake things up by purchasing a pair of Mahi amps. Was leaning towards a Stingray MKII, but was offered too good a deal to pass. Was hoping to say with an integrated amp, but the Mahi are only 10"x11", so not large.
