One of my twinstores is about to die a death so i am now contemplating moving over to the QNAP system.
Has anyone done it and does anyone know what to do? Do I just buy a four bay system, install the software and plug the disks in? I am worried about losing my music if there is some conflict. Any thoughts? howie |

Why? QNAP is undocumented and unproven
Also, how do you know your TS is dying? Back-up to an external HD like right now... Need more storage in your TS? Get bigger drives, they're cheap.... |

If you're hearing irregular HDD noise then a backup is probably step #1.
If you're running twinstores in RAID-0 then restore that backup to a QNAP. It will show up us non-sooloos storage but work just like adding more twinstores. |
