It took a little trial and error, though I was able to mount the Simaudio Moon 310LP behind the rack and up high enough so it is no longer picking up hum from the Ref 10 power supply box and doesn't require a separate shelf. The wood boxes it was setting on before were not a good solution. It effected the sound being that close to the right speaker and just looked goofy.

Jason, I don't know the full etiology of your system, but looks like you had a Ref3/Ref110 combo there for a while. What was your thinking in going with the Ref10 vs Ref 5SE and perhaps upgrade also your amp? Just curious... my new Ref10/Ref75 are in transit.

While I was at AXPONA this year, I spent some time talking to the folks in the ARC/Sonus Faber room. We went through my system details and he said to upgrade my preamp to at least a Ref 5se as that would bring me the most bang for the buck so to speak and then to move onto my interconnect and speaker cables. (Currently Audioquest CV-8 and Columbia XLR and now moving to Transparent). I have been very pleased with my Ref 110 using KT-120s (that is once I started using the 8 ohm taps with the SF Olympica IIs). The Ref 150 is great, but not a cost effective upgrade in my opinion and according to what the reps told me (in the context of my system). The Ref 10 has proven to be the best upgrade I have ever made to date. Absolute night and day difference in so many aspects.

Let me know if you have any more questions and congrats on the Ref 5SE and Ref 75 combo!
