Default Riders on the Storm

I just watched a pretty cool video of Ray Manzarek discussing and playing how Riders on the Storm was made.

Very cool. Thanks for posting!

It seems I have underestimated the compositional skills that went into making that song.

I never appreciated it until I bought it on DVD-A. Great surround sound separation.

Great video!

Ray takes you through the making in an awesome way!

I didn’t realize Morrison took off before the album was finalized, died shortly after its release and was anxious to tour on its back.

Popping on LA Woman NOW!

If you really want to be amazed, listen the the Analogue Productions 45 RPM version of it on L.A. Woman.....it's such an awesome recording with the thunder etc, can give you goosebumps.

Thanks For the Love of Music—and Tanja ha ha ha. Yes, it was a nice follow-up to Ray’s musical excursion. I wonder if the video of Jim was from one of the movies he made or just home video. I know he was a film student before the fame and glory of being a rock star.
