New Fujifilm X-H1 in da house!
The hot new Fujifilm X-H1 professional-level camera was released on March 1, and I recieved mine last week after selling off my older mirrorless gear. The new X-H1 is intended for hard-core professional use, and has a 25% thicker, 2X stronger, stiffer and more robust body. It's about 5% larger in 2 of 3 dimensions, and 10% thicker at its minimum depth and weighs ~170 grams more than the X-T2.
This graphic shows the strengthening added to the frame. The body is larger, stiffer and stronger to accomodate Fuji's new In-Body Image Stabilization subsystem, as well as to strengthen the frame to accomodate long, heavy prime telephotos e.g., their forthcoming 200 mm f/2.0 prime telephoto (which will be the equivalent FOV and DOF of the classic 300mm f/2.8 for a 35mm full-frame system). Here's a 3/4 view of the camera: Of course, all the photo forum specs geeks have been b*tching about how much larger the X-H1 is than the X-T2, but in reality, the difference in size is not practically significant. Shown here is my Graphite Silver X-T2 next to my X-H1. Like the X-T2, the X-H1 has a Vertical Power Booster Grip that turns it into a photojournalism BEAST:
