McIntosh MC207 Binding Post Cover

Does anyone know where I can get a binding post cover for my MC207? One of them cracked and I need to replace it. I contacted McIntosh but it appears I have to purchase the whole binding post.

I’ve never seen just a cover for sale. To replace the jack assembly, you’ll need to take the amp apart and unsolder the wires on the other side of the post.

Since you are using bananas there really is no need to replace the post as a cracked cover will not impact the function.

If you decide to replace the jack I would replace all of them with WBT jacks. Much better than the ones on the amp now.

Those look like standard Vampire double binding posts and they are about $11.00 a piece from Vampire and cheaper from some of their dealers. They have the option for the wires on the inside to be attached with copper rings or spades and if that is what Mc did it will be fairly easy to do.

Thanks Michael and Jack......I’ve contacted the McIntosh parts department and have to purchase they have the binding post for $12.00 plus $8.00 shipping. The cap is not removable so I have to replace the entire binding.
