Beeing the first violin player at the Concertgebouw Orchestra does not automatically imply being expert in succesfull assembly of highendaudio gear.

Enjoy the records meanwhile
I nowhere wrote I'm a expert in assembly ............In Holland there are only a few people who can do that. But a lot of people think they can do it. Just as most people think they know how music must sound (hi-fi). I can guarrantee you that is not true at all.

Al musicians have of course developped ears. Let me be the worst of them, no problem.

A violin player in an orchestra hears the music completely different than the audiance. And then the question is at wat row is the listener sitting?
It's always a problem at forums that musicians have a more developed ear than ....... engineers, taxidrivers, tennis players. Why? Everyone has a profession. In Holland I should be close to a ban-for-life because of writing this.

Don't take it too personally.. it's only a hobby.

Always ask oneself: Is it true? and, how can I be absolutely sure about it?

Most musicians have hearing problems.....another fact.

Women hear better in high frequencies, another fact.

There are a lot of non musicians that know perfectly well how to value good sound.

Be proud at what you do, but don't think it makes you some kind of superman.

I also fully agree with 4RE on reproduced music versus live music. It's two different worlds regardles of the system you have.

I heard the Q7's being driven by the Soulution 701 mono's at the 2015 CES and it was killer great sound. The Q7's are peerless speakers IMO.

Hi WillydeWoofer, It's the way you put it into words, just read your own posts, it's not an opinion.
Personally I don't care if somebody likes Magico not, or thinks they are expensive.
I have the same regarding some other brands, but I keep it to myself, why should I post it. (just don't see the need for it)

Q7 with Soulution 711 was the best demo I listened to, few months ago in Netherlands.
Excellent room acoustics made this a very special demo, effortless the music was reproduced.

I am happy that I am a teaching musician because of the ear damage's some college's have.

Don't you think that a set must sound as close to life as possible? That's what Hifi stands for.

Kind regard,

Superman

Man, you just don’t get it do you… I hope you are a bit more flexible and humble as a musician and a teacher. People who think that their truth is better than others, are quite a drag.

This is a public forum. Nobody has to read my (not)recommendations. Nobody has to react at my writing. I just want to warn people that a high price is no guarantee for a good pair of speakers. A lot of people will be very glad to read this. I presume not everyone here is a miljonair.
Although I told not to mention brands anymore: for rich people I can advise TAD and Kharma speakers.
For the less rich under us: look for a used Magnepan 3-Series or a Millon Matador.
