The 20.7's are about 3 feet from the side walls and my loveseat is located in the middle of the room - the back wall would be >15 feet behind me.

I prefer the tweeters on the outside as it enhances the soundstage but also allows me to adjust for the extra seat (loveseat - 2 people). To be clear, if you sit in either position of the loveseat (left or right), the voices, etc. are perfectly centered with a massive soundstage filling the whole front wall. I adjust toe slightly from the imaginary diagonal line from back of speaker to the corner. When I adjust the toe, I push the inside edges (bass side of each speaker) closer to the wall. The end result is basically an equilateral triangle, plus plenty of room all around the speaker and my seating position. I'm merely using the corners and a diagonal line as a guide. I also believe by pointing the rear wave of the panel towards a corner, I may be mitigating any negative rear wave issues, especially since the wave is not initially reflecting off a flat, front wall (front meaning behind the speakers) - perhaps some natural room diffusion occurs too.

I found no benefit having the tweeters on the inside.

russell, that is a good idea to use the corners to break up the reflections. I still have not tried the ribbon tweeters on the outside. I'll bet your room sounds really good as you have been dialing it in for some time now.

Now that's what we're talking about! That is a very cool listen room. I like the colors in your room and that JL sub tucked back in the corner. Classe' amps next to the speakers for the best efficiency. We'll done. Your other systems look equally nice. I am curious about your 20.7's being closer together than the 3.6's and the 20.1's. I would have thought they would need more space between them.

Before I compare the 20.1 and the 20.7 I should mention that I was running the 20.1 in biamped mode. (The 20.7 cannot be biamped.) Prior to bi amping my 20.1 sounded very nice; much better than my previous 3.6. But they really became a different speaker (much more bass) after biamping them. However, the 20.7 sound is more cohesive, there is better integration in mid frequencies and the bass is strong but much cleaner. Perhaps a better description would be more refined. I never drove the 20.1 with the m600 though, and I know that the big classe are a big factor in the way the 20.7 sounds.

Regarding placement, I decided to play around with the location just recently. I like them closer when I am playing two channels only. I may have to move them out some because I have a screen that partially hide the speakers when down. Most of the sound during movies comes from the center channel which is placed unobstructed above the screen. I am still using the 3.6 as surrounds. I mostly listen to music. Sometimes in 2.0 mode; other times in 4.1 mode. The JL f113 add foundation particularly when playing bass-heavy music (rock) or some organ classical music.
