Last night we had our weekly jazz program streaming while in bed (it is on late) - some tracks were louder than others and it was great to be able to adjust volume from the other room, and turn it off when it was sleep time.

Very cool. I'm impressed with the leap of an entire system swap!

Off to the hardware store for an oscillating saw to knock a hole in the back of the entertainment unit shortly...not sure the wife is terribly excited by that prospect (DIY and I should never be spoken of in the same breath, accordingly to her - hummphh).

So my Magico's have arrived on a pallet, and are awaiting to be unpacked. Two boxes of about 70 kg each.
Hopefully will have some time on Wednesday to receive them properly.

Congrats Andy, You've chosen some world-class gear. Magico is a superlative speaker maker, and Jeff Fritz raved about his Devialet/Magico combo. I, too, have been doing a lot of reading about Devialet. Impressive stuff, to say the least. Is your system completely up and running less the Magicos? Can you give me some feedback on the Antipodes server? I've heard great things about it. Thx. Enjoy.

Well chaps, here are the speakers in situ, all hooked up with $5 lamp cord to my Devialet.
I have a grand total of 1 hr on them Out of the box they sound pretty good, but I can imagine them loosening up a tad. The resolution & coherence is extraordinary at their price point. A tad tizzy though. Now to break it to Bridget....I wonder if she will notice? Apologies for the iPhone photos. Lost my point n click somewhere...oh last picture is a print I bought a couple years ago. Love the colours.

Andy.......The new Magico S1's look super. In fact the entire system is quite attractive. Congratulations. One thing, though. Your Devialet and the Magico S1's deserve much more than lamp cord for the connections, but you already know that I'm sure. Happy listening. . .
