Looks like they pack the S5s in separate crates, wonder why they put the heavier Q3s
in one crate? |

I've heard great things about the Magico speakers in general. Maybe some day I will get a chance to hear them.

Beautiful crates!! Hope to have crates just like that soon, if I can only decide between the Magico S5, the Magico Q3, or Rockport Avoir !!!

The S5 is a better general purpose speaker, the Q3 is sonically superior, but it reveals every little nuance, which in some cases can work to its detriment.

One of the problems with our hobby is that the only way to really try anything is to listen to it in your room with your gear. Everything makes a difference. Also breakin can make a huge difference.

So true, and scary. The thought of purchasing such expensive gear and having them sound miserable in home is daunting. I listened to the S5 with Classe mono amps and McIntosh electronics. Disappointingly bad. Heard them in a different location with Constellation and they brought tears of joy to my eyes! Lucky for me I'm assembling a complete new system. I can just purchase all the great gear in the showroom. Then I'll just have to worry about changing the dimensions of my room!!
