What's ironic about this is that Sony is knockin' em outta da park when it comes to digital camera sensors. The majority of manufacturers now use Sony sensors, including Panasonic, Olympus, Fuji, Nikon, and even Canon in some cases. The new Canon G7X uses a Sony sensor, for example. Fuji uses their own X-trans color filter array, but the base sensor subsystem is a Sony one. Of course the sensor OEM supplier business ia a completely different one than the consumer electronics division.

Worst customer service ever... Would never touch a Sony product! A well deserved result as far as I'm concerned!

A positive experience here:

They did a good job fixing my SACD player when it could not read hybrid layers. I was happy with the outcome.

They took over 6 mos to send me a replacement part for my XBR HX929 (less than 2 yrs old). I must've called them 100x only to be told the part is still on back order with no ETA.

For 6mos I lived with intermittent tv crashing.

It's hardly 'audio' but they have always made the best Mp3 players, as their DSEE and HX Master innovations have nearly brought it up to the level of 24/192. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get their new NWZ-A10 Dap, and maybe the NWZ-1A 'phones as well.
