Default Momentum s250 added

Just got my momentum s250 setup and delivered and boy oh boy that sound delivers! Even better with Wilson audio Yvettes!

If only I could get that meter in the front to move without going deaf!

Congrats.

Meter movement is an issue, there is a switch on the back which makes it more sensitive but still doesn't make it move enough at normal listening levels.

Great amp choice!

It takes a lot to push the needles, I start seeing this at 60% volume on the mated PreAmp and song dependent, but when they do, oh my...

Congratulations on your gorgeous new amp. And is that a Linn Klimax I see above it?

I spoke to Bill McKiegan of D’Agostino a few weeks ago about the meter, and he indicated they were working in a more sensitive meter, but of course it’s purely cosmetic. Even at very high listening levels you’re still only drawing a few watts with efficient speakers, so it’s tough getting much movement.

Yeah I realize it's cosmetic but would definitely be cool to see it jump a little!

Yes I got a Linn klimax katalyst ds a couple of months ago and love it! Can't wait for roon integration though...kazoo is junk software to put it bluntly.

There is beta Linn Davaar firmware out now, being tested by Roon’s “alpha” user group.

I have become accustomed to not seeing the needles move in either my original Momentum's and now with the M400's. The lights glow nicely.
