Bill.......Talk about distracted driving. Can you imagine changing a 45 RPM record after every song while driving? There isn't enough insurance in the world to cover that driver.

When you ask did they actually have something like that. Did you mean:
1) big steering wheels
2) rear view mirrors on the dash
3) car keys without electrical fobs
4) steel dashboards
5) knobs on radios
6) haircuts like that
7) or 45 rpm record players in cars

Jim

Jim.......Excellent. I remember everything except the underdash record player. I do, however, remember 4-track, 8-track, and cassette underdash players, cars with no seatbelts or air conditioning, huge white walls on tires, fender skirts, and the continental kit.

How about vent widows, column mounted shifters aka "three on the tree", suicide doors,

Jim

Jim.......Oh yeah! Lets not forget 8 miles to the gallon, either. Those old Pontiac, Olds, Ford and Chevy big blocks were thirsty motors.

At this point, is it still necessary to "invest" in a good quality CD player? I guess resistance is futile.
