A large pyramid as a ship doesn’t seem like it would make a bit of sense from a physics standpoint, but then again, I’m not an alien so what do I know?

The problem is we always think and compare and try to rationalize within the box of our present knowledge. It may not be a ship at all, could be a projection from a distance, could be a portal or could be a jump from another dimension. Shape would be rather irrelevant in all the above cases. Nor would a "ship" necessarily contain sentient/biological beings. It's not like we don't send stuff into space to other planets and beyond even in our galactic infancy... They could be scouting drones with AI...

We simply can not imagine the technology an advanced civilization (if that is what is happening) could possess. Not long ago we were convinced we were living on a flat earth, then it was the center of the universe, followed by the only galaxy in the whole universe and only recently (Huble Telescope) opened up our eyes that there are billions of other galaxies with hundreds of billions of stars and countless planets out there.

One thing for sure, if we are/were to be visited by an advance race that was able to overcome the great distance, we'd be knocked on our collective asses no matter what technology they use to make their presence known.
