Yesterday wife had window cleaners clean all windows in house. They cleaned window behind my gear. Today I noticed on my mint mint mint Sonus Faber Elipsa SE a fine but visible 3 inch white line on the black trim, running vertically It is right on the edge where front meets side. Of course I felt sick because I was so protective of these. Just took my eye off them for a second. I want to put things in perspective because its only money and I am fine now. However...................aside from sending back to factory which I do not want to do, is there any way to make this fine line go away without making it worse?

I know it hurts even more, but can you make a picture (or several) to make our support more easy?
Another question: can you feel the white line or is it only visible?
My first impression: this can be solved.

Ouch. The Guarneri came with a wonderful red protective "hat"/cloth which I tried to use every time there was cleaning going on. Probably impractical with the Elipsa, but a couple of blankets over them in those occasion may help prevent future mishaps.

It sounds like it might be in a location where any repairs would be not be noticeable. As noted above a photo would help.

I can guess how you feel and like how you have tried to keep it all in perspective.

Bill.......There is automotive polish available with black pigment in the polish for filling an scratches on paint. I have used it in the past successfully on minor scratches on black paint. This may be all you need to make the scratch disappear.

Thanks Guys: I will try to take pictures although my good camera is on loan to my daughter. I can not feel the scratch. I even considered it could be on the surface. I did not want to use an abrasive. I know the polish. I use that on my black scooter. I could give that a try.

I would like to suggest not to try any abrasive or polish. It's a positive thing you can't feel the scratch. It's very good possible that it's only superficial. Let's wait for the pictures.

Bill... I'm sure they can be made perfect again with the right scratch remover, ie: Wolfgang or Pinnacle automotive products.

95% improved with polish. Can only see scratch in bright sun or flashlight. (little neurotic over here). The window washer offered to make amends. (that caught me off guard). I asked for nothing.
