I have mixed feelings about it. It is a change from the old SF and it's a step into the future. They are looking forward whereas they are know to be a more traditional company. They were pure wood and leather but they are now mixing carbon fiber and copper.

So it's a company trying to face the challenge of the new generation. This will not be easy and it will leave a lot of people disappointed but I do appreciate what they are trying to do and I wish them a lot of success.

I'm waiting to see what the next generation of products will look like. I'm thinking a new strad may not be that far away. It looks like they want to compete with the likes of Magico and al.

Been a lurker for a long time but it's time to come out of the shadows for this one.

I love it!

It's a bit of a monster but so was the original Extrema. And I think it's definitely better looking than either The Sonus Faber or Aida (although Aida's looks certainly grew on me after seeing it in person and, most importantly, hearing it).

Not a big fan of "Ex3ma", but it's kind of cool how that enabled them to embed "30" (as in anniversary) into the logo.

Maybe it'll be a classic, maybe it won't. But I really like it and hope I'll have the opportunity to hear it some time.
