Default Classic/Vintage Pickup Trucks

Have to say that all my life I've always been drawn to the classic "American" pickups. Never owned one and probably never will but on those rare occasions where I see one driving down the road or parked at a car show, I always admire them.

Maybe it's just me but I think the styling was really cool and inspiring and their "presence" when seen these days is so much more than their modern counterparts. Almost cartoonish and whimsical by today's standards but yet so cool.

Wow! I guess my 1990 Chevy 454 SS is a little too new.

Different era altogether... Still a cool truck just doesn't have those classic round headlights and all those bubbly lines instead being ruler flat in lines.

My grandfather had a 1950's red Ford pickup when I was a kid, I have no idea exactly what year but probably mid 1950's. We lived on a farm and and my cousins and I use to ride in the back of the pickup all the time. That would never happen today.

I would love to have one of those old pickups. Far more style than modern vehicles.

How cool is that? Must have brought back some memories.
You are correct, that wouldn't fly today just like so many other things... It is amazing we all survived those "dangerous" decades before the seatbelts, abs brakes, stability control, backup cameras, etc ...
