Hello Dan.
I agree with you.
No one really "needs" more than an AX7e !

Thanks Serge !
I remember too when you had this jewel.

Thank you David.
It won't do.
Nothing can smoothen the feeling of injustice when those crimes happen.
Like in Brussels, Orlando, Tel Aviv... : we are just looking at an other form of Evil.
Life still goes on though and that is good this way.

I would disagree.

Depending on what you have upstream, you can very definitely hear the difference between an AX7e and the components from the 5 or reference series.

On the other hand, those improvements come at not insignificant price jumps.

Hello Bill,

I did not say that one cannot hear the difference. I have had and still own various other very high end gear. Of course I can hear the difference.
But I do not necessarily "need " more than an AX7e.

It's all good. I got an AX-7e when I switched from tube separates for many reasons. I then heard the AX-5 and had to switch. The difference was huge for me. Then I did the immediate upgrade to the Twenty and it's a totally different amp/league than the non Twenty. Like most companies, the higher you go, the better you will get. I see so many folks buying expensive cables and isolation platforms so early in their build and not get nearly the payback than just upgrading their amp, source and or speakers for the same amount or even less at times. JMHO.

That said, the 7e will bring you enjoyment for many years to come. Honestly, you can now upgrade the speakers and source well before the amp I'm sure and hear the difference. That's a nice place to be in your build. Congrats.
