Default BOT compared to CD Transport

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has compared the BOT-1 to very high end CD transport. The only review I can find is in this forum. I have a BDP-2 / BOT-1 on order.

Thanks,
B

I also have the BOT-1 and would be interested in the comparison. I love mine, but one always wonders. Does the trick perfectly for me though, as I don't emphasize cd's as a source (although I think I could as the BOT-1 sounds great).

Hi Folks,

I would also be interested in what people think of the sound of the ripped files using the BOT. I was using DBPOWERAMP before.

If one rips a CD on the BOT-1 using wav, do you get the cover art, too?

Since wav is supposed to be the best sounding digital file, I guess this is a good reason to buy the BOT-1 in that digital art cannot be had otherwise with a wav file.

Interesting question. I recently received my BDP-2/BDA-3 combo. Right now I am reading my music files from a NAS in the network. I can rip the CD's via my mini mac connected to the same network.

Will the SQ be improved if I rip them via BOT-1? The cost for a BOT-1 is rather high, the transport to the mac is low, so the BOT-1 should be a high quality CD transport. It will be very interesting if someone had compared it against any other high quality CD transport.

1. Will the SQ be better ripping via BOT-1?
2. How is the SQ when playing a CD (yes, I still do that) compared to another high quality CD transport or player?

/Lasse
