Nobody in the top-10 is out of it. Makes it a great race for the audience.

Sprints can be 'fun', but the GC is the only thing for me. That was good by Sagan. He's a great ambassador for the sport.
On this flattest stage of the tour Thomas goes down and now must chase back on in 95F weather. Inattention or did his team mate run into him?

Seems to be that he crashed by himself, maybe holding the handlebars with one hand and got some fling on the bike.

Another top-10 rider out due to a silly crash. Tough day in the flat.

Is it my imagination or has the peleton been going faster as a group this tour? They always seem to be flying.

The plot thickens. The two young riders from SA may make hay of the field with the uphill finishes the next two days. Alaphilippe is quite the downhill rider. He may have to try to get away on the downhills in order to hang on during the uphills.

If you enjoy Bob Roll's commentary (as I do) you will like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtdu...ature=youtu.be

EDIT: What a bummer for Alaphilippe. He was rapidly catching the groups in front of him when they stopped the race and gave everyone their time at the top. So sad. But...…… rider safety first with the snow and hail ahead.
