Audi does not offer the dual clutch anymore in the S5. It’s an 8 sp auto now.
Go for the M2 for the white knuckles and sweaty palms experience on the track and a very sporty compact as a daily. Or look for a preowned S4 or S5 with a dual clutch but don’t expect quite the same level of performance. I really enjoyed my S4 but when they dropped the dual clutch I had to say no to a new replacement. My father owns an A6 and I’m less than thrilled with that auto tranny. |

As fast as a Lamborghini off the line too! Price tag gets up there though. I sat in one at one of the dealers here in Atlanta. It was black on black interior with bright yellow stitching on the dash, doors and seats. It was one of the sweetest cars I've ever seen.

AMG cars are awesome if you like watching the traction and stability control flashing for 20-30 seconds after you put your foot down. It’s one thing to build a powerful engine and totally something else to design a whole package that can put the power down with finesse....

When my son wanted a car that would sound awesome, look great and have enough competitive edge built in to take to the track, we found an E92 M3, ordered a Meisterschaft exhaust and did a few suspension mods. It was an awesome project and the car looked and sounded just like this. https://youtu.be/8i6QYTAEPo0
It’s more fun than anyone can ever really need or use on the street and on the track unless you are actually racing. |

That sounded great! Meister and Akro are my two favorite exhausts. I agree about the fun factor. I work from home and look forward to when I get to get on to the turnpike and turn it loose. I kind of miss my weekend car meets and rallies.. they took a back burner when diving on the weekends started taking over my time.
