I told myself not to comment on this subject! It reminds me of the power & distortion wars of the 70's. Gobs of negative feedback to lower distortion thus creating another problem which was not understood, intermodulation distortion (phase errors of nfb related to incoming signal).

Many years ago we had much trouble with ESD damage to IC's. Some engineers and techs refused to believe it was a problem. So much so engineers were forbidden to solder on production circuit boards. Research finally proved the point and proper measures were implemented to prevent ESD damage.

The point I'm trying to make is sometimes we don't understand the problem, the measurements we take, or measurements that haven't been invented.
