Default Preamp Tube life ? ...

I spoke to C-J today, I was told appx. 2K-3K hours on the ET5 tube. Then pay attention for noise and distortion. Good thing it only needs one.

Anyone try Gold Lions in their preamp?

I haven't tried Gold Lions, but I will be at some point in the near future. I had great experience with their KT88s in my Premier 11A.

On the whole though, I've the stock tubes that C-J specs are quite good. The stock 6922 in Joe's ET-5 is probably an Electro-Harmonix.

electro harmonix in my et5 (hard to see but there it is)
..looks like I'll be waiting awhile for the replacement EAT...so I may have to do a bit of experimenting.

Looks like the Gold Lions are fairly inexpensive, so I may just have to try one out. YEESH
