Amen. To which there's a footnote: In March, around the time a need for space for new priorities forced me to move most of my heavyweight audio, including the 17LS and MF2500, from what had been the dedicated listening room to the living-dining area's A/V setup, the local b&m dealer with whom I'd done business for 20 years gave me a preliminary heads-up on his plans to shutter his retail operation and offer his demo gear at closeout prices. I immediately snapped up his pair of Paradigm SE-1 mini's, intending them to replace the stand-mounted 10-year-old A/V-feed Mini Monitors.

My wife liked the look of the rosenut SE-1's the instant she saw them, and when I mentioned, with no ulterior motive (yeah, I can hear the "yeah, sures" from here), that the dealer still had a pair of demo rosenut floorstanding SE-3's to sell, she asked, matter of factly, "How much are they?"

I told her the price, but added that they weren't on my have-to-have list.

"Well, if you decide you want them, I'll pay half."

Which is why I'll gladly admit that my wife's right all the time.

People with a Genius IQ pick green more than any color, that's why I have CJ stuff and some of you have Shindo

Oh well, I may not be a genius but I like the way the old Champagne color gear sounds.

I like the color of CJ equipment - it's just the styling that doesn't do it for me.

Now the Accuphase is a horse of a different color (?)

I've always loved the color of CJ equipment. Not sure I would consider purchasing CJ equipment in another color, but since they own McCormack I would suspect they could do silver easily.

Well, just goes to show there's just no accounting for taste, I like the styling of C-J but don't really like the styling of Acccuphase. Looks too much like the 70s.
