Joe,
If I was in the US, I would buy the Classic 60 from this seller. It is abrand new unit from a CJ dealer. You get the full warranty.
I would personnaly love to hear a new EL34 based amp in my system.
It must sound......"delicious" !

Thanks Jérôme,

I think that's the right way to go. I am sorry for this being off topic but I pulled these out of the closet and re-tubed them. Thor TPA-30 mono blocks. Sounded constricted when I first turned them on but after a few rounds of biasing and getting warmed up, they are sounding better and starting to bloom, amazing. I've had them 9 almost 10 years.

According to Conrad Johnson, the Classic Sixty amplifier is a special product available exclusively from one dealer - Spearit Sound in Northampton MA.

Hmmmm.

Hmmmm.
Yeah, Spearit and C-J are pretty tight. Spearit is one of C-J's biggest dealers, and they have a close relationship with C-J. They often get the last runs of product before discontinuation, or items sent in for refurb for reselling.

My guess is the Classic Sixty is an LP66 that is rewired and/or "re-transformered" to use EL-34s instead of 6550s. C-J provided this "mod" with some of their amps in the past, like the MV-60, if memory serves.
