Higher would be nice, but how about some getting the limit up to 70. I am pretty sure Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois etc are still at 65.

In California it's only 70mph. Seems like 80mph would be more reasonable since today's cars are safer and made for higher speeds. Where there are miles of straightaways the limit could be 90mph. Other sections could be widened or have a special lane for high speed driving.

You boys need to come out West. I drive Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico on biz and there's plenty of space to breathe.

I lived and spent a lot of time in Montana where there was NO speed limit.

It always amazed me that all you would ever see would be ranch trucks and family cars...

While... at the same time ... in LA you see exotic after exotic... SITTING in traffic!!!

Dan, When you saw me driving my Buick down I-75, did you notice that I was wearing a hat, reading the paper and text messaging all at the same time? I love to have you Jag Jockeys stacked up behind me.

Honk all you want, big boy, you won't get by me!!!! My dinner won't be ready for another couple of hours and I'm in no hurry. Mama's in the Ford Crown Vic next to me in the right lane and we will be going the same speed all the way to St. Pete. Watch my tail lights. I'm sending you a morse code message. ... -.-. .-. . .-- -.-- --- ..-

Hey Julian,

You've got a nice machine. My dad just bought one in silver with all the bells and whistles and I'm talking about your Mercedes S500 not the Crown Vic

You wonder why in general crime is so bad and we have such idiots driving crazy. All the cops are sitting on the side of the road with radar guns. You don't get the people cutting in and out that way, or stop violent crime.
nothing like that feeling of a cop passing you if you are broken down on the size of the road.

Though the one happy moment was seeing a cop pull over someone who was going the speed limit in the left handed lane and wouldn't pull over. It was beautiful to see those lights ablaze.

I really do hope they overturn the ruling. That just seems so extreme. Maybe a school zone???

There are some laws on the books in some places that say you cannot drive in the left lane unless you are passing. In theory, you could be pulled over for staying in that lane while going the speed limit.
