I think its ok. The TRD sub-brand is targeted at a slightly younger demographic than most people on here. Most of the base models have a "toned down" grill. I have never liked the Avalon, but have no problem with the big grill on the Camry.

Ya know, the grill is awful, but I will say that it’s pretty sporty looking overall. I usually think of an Avalon as a boring family car, but the new design does give it an edge. If they had toned down the grill it would’ve been a winner.

Even the regular version of the 2020 Toyota Avalon, not the TRD version, still follows the grill design cues.

That is hideous. The IS & LC both look better in person than in photos. BMW seems to have caught the "hideous grill" disease with their new X7 and, worse, M4 models.

I don't know what they were thinking, but unless the article I read was incorrect, the Toyota Camry will be the #1 selling CAR in the US in 2019. Must be a couple hundred thousand people who either like it or can look past it when spending their $$$.

Can't believe I'm "defending" a Toyota grill. I do agree with whoever mentioned the grill on the BMW. Unlike a Toyota, the front of a BMW is iconic and that new grill doesn't work for me.

Although not exactly beautiful either, I think the 2019 Camry grill isn’t as ugly as the Avalon that started this thread.
