Today might very well be the day for "Completion" if all goes well.

Oh I have seen the Runco in Action yesterday on a Demo Blu-Ray.
It is Awesome on my 123" Stewart Gray Hawk screen.
(Especially after me painting the Rear-Wall with the Flat Black to match the Front & Ceiling)

I realize this site is mainly about {Audio} so just want to say Thanks Guys once again for dropping by and Posting.

Hi Bart,

I felt like before I go to the HT (Home Theater) I should take care of posting 1st.

Tonight is going to be, (Home Theater) time for this fellow.

Here is the Completed HT System.


I had the VX5000ci Runco W/DHD Controller before this New VX-11d.
There is No-Comparison in the picture.

The HT was completed today and I now have the {Remotes}

I have not watched a full Blu-Ray movie.

I have watched and listened to a Demo Blu-Ray and part of Iron Man.

The Runco VX-11d is an Awesome Projector.
I was concerned that it's fan might be loud.
It is No-Concern at all.
(Cannot hear it run)
The reason I mention it is because they had to lower the Runco to get it in the right place for covering my screen.
Even lowered and behind the love seat you "Cannot" hear it run.

The picture is just what one would expect from a High-End $30K 1080P Runco.

Seriously I don't have a camera that would take a great picture of the image on the screen in a Cave/No-Light.

I am totally satisfied with the image viewing Blu-Ray, Dish HD and even the Black & White images.

I got "All " my Monies worth.

Jeff, ... your so right on me not being on here much once I went up into the HT.
I was actually watching my Black & White Westerns on Dish.
Have Gun Will Travel, Rawhide, Matt Dillion, Gunsmoke & Wagon Train.
I wanted to see what the Runco's DHD Processor would do with movies that old in Black & White.
The answer is, it does an excellent job as I could now see the actual material in the shirts.
Instead of it just being like a white shirt I could in some cases actually see the Design in the Material.
The close-up's of faces were much more Detailed.
With my older Runco the Black & White was really for the most part just that, (Black & White W/No-Detail)

I realize that most people probably would think I would have jumped straight onto the Blu-Ray movies I bought.
And normally I would have but like I said I really an hoping to get Cathy (Wife) up there with me to watch some of them together.
I want to see the look/expressions on her face when she 1st experiences a Blu-Ray Movie.
She is going to just Trip-Out.

So I have been watching what I do everyday with the Westerns I record on the Dish DVR.

Also one of the coolest things that I can now do is (Stream) Movies from (Dish) on what is called (Blockbuster).
That is the Coolest thing I have seen and it has so many options to pick from.
The Techs doing the install on my System were going to go with a Remote set-up for Dish originally.
But once they took a look at room location they realized they could fish a cable straight from the System to my Computer.
So it is (Hard-Wired) to my computer and we have AT&T Fiber Optic the Fastest Speed they offer.
It is Flawless in it's operation and processes Super-Fast.

Bart, ... thanks so much for your compliments on my much improved HT system.
Here is what the Owner of Hi-Tech Innovations had to say when he was sitting in the, (Sweet-Spot) on the love seat watching sections of Iron Man.
Charles said, (Terry you have a 1st Class HT System now).
And went on to say, (This system is far-far beyond any Cinema you could go to).
Charles was just Blown-Away with the image and the Sound from the system.
The Surround is just so Awesome you just can't get enough of it once you start watching and hearing it in person.

I'm so glad I went with a completely matched set of JML Utopia speakers.
They are an awesome sounding set-up to experience in the HT space they are located in.
At the THX 80 listening Level this thing just goes Crazy with Sound all around you.

The other Runco VX-11d Owner, ... Hello and I did wonder if you would drop by and post.
Man there is so much difference in the picture between this and the older, (9-Years) Runco it is just un-believable.
My other one did 720p & 1080i but this one is so BRIGHT and the Blacks are now what I have read about but not seen before.
On my 123" 4-Way Remote Masking Stewart Grey Hawk screen and sitting 16' back the picture just Blows me away.
In watching the parts of Iron Man in 2:35 aspect I simply masked the screen to that size and it just looks great.
The Brilliance/Brightness of this Runco in my, Completely-Dark) HT is so Bright that one cannot watch it if they are Tired.
My wife came up for a bit the other evening and we watched CSI Miami off Dish HD from the DVR and she said I think I might need, (Sun-Glasses).
Some scenes I watched on the Blu-Ray Demo looked 3-Dimensional as the icebergs just appeared to be standing out in the picture.
The Whites are so intense now watching the scenes with the icebergs in them.
I really like the way this Runco now does the Blacks.

Seriously I am so glad I made that call to my local Authorized Runco Dealer and asked what was new.
Talk about timing ..........
I have no regrets about any of the new gear that I purchased.

It all works as it should and I have IMHO a well matched Audio as well as Video HT System.

Terry... What no Lawman? I have been watching that recetly. I have about 15 episodes left in the series. BTW the room looks incredible. It must sound awesome. BTW what is MSRP on the projector?
