What can you tell if those German tubes were made by Telefunken back in the day? All those power output tubes are RCAs in one unit and the other has mix of Zenith.

This is gonna be a project for upcoming weekends and hope they work as they should.
Do a general cleaning and Deox then see where your at with all the peices.

Yes, I cleaned them up today and power up with Variac with no issue. They all sing! But still keep my eyes open just in case they smoke. But so far I don't smell anything burning. Good sign to begin with.

Did you put power to any of the Mc power amps?

Well, let me say this way, I have pair of mc240 I acquired while back. They work fine. The 3rd MC240 came in with its brother MC225 bought last week. they are all tested at time of purchase since I was in the shop.

What I just done today was the 1st time power up procedule with Variac on the Fisher800c, c28 and mc50. Nothing disappointed me so far. I will look deeply on their current status just to be sure they will not go out of norm. Those are my upcoming projects.

Does anyone know if those original Fisher 800C tubes marked as made in W. Germany were Telefunken tubes or from other factories. Thanks

Pat.......Check the bottom of the tubes to see if the have the diamond shape molded into the glass between the pins. If they do the they are Telefunken tubes.
