The Rolliing Stones in Mono Vinyl Box Set
This is for all the Stones Fans out there......I finally pulled the trigger on the Mono vinyl box and man oh man. I already have the ‘64 - ‘69 vinyl box (which can fetch big bucks on eBay and discogs) which is a great sounding set in stereo. After the success of the Beatles vinyl box in Mono, I had to see what they could do with the Stones catalogue. Well, they succeeded masterfully. Michael Fremer did a review awhile ago and stated that these were the definitive albums to own, even comparing favorably or better to UK Decca originals which would be almost impossible to find in mint condition not to mention hideously expensive. I’ve listened to excerpts from Aftermath, December’s Children and Beggar’s Banquet. So far it’s easily the best I’ve ever heard these classics. If you have a chance be sure and check this set out, you won’t be disappointed.
