Default Cataract surgery...........

Hi All
Tomorrow(Tuesday)I'm having cataract surgery on my right eye which will involve the removal of the cataract and the insertion of a new lens. On Tuesday Apr 28 I'll have the left eye done. The Doctor is pretty sure I'll only have to wear glasses for reading.

As with any surgical procedure there are risks but I have the utmost confidence in the Doctor.

Wish me luck Guys.

"Tomorrow(Tuesday)I'm having cataract surgery "
****
Had both of mine done about six years ago, now have the best eye sight that I have had since about age 12. :>) I think that you will notice a big difference.

Bob.......I am also planning to have cataract surgery in the near future beginning with my left eye. The vision in that eye has been a bit cloudy for several years now and getting worse.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Congrats on the move Bob and prayers sent.

PS I have had 14 major eye operations, 2 of them as you will get on Tuesday.

Get the best distance you can get, may be a little late now, but there are better Optical IOL the lenses they implant. Talk to the DR about this it is VERY important. You don't want dual vision!

I was past legally blind 20/1250 and worse in the other eye. Anyway not only did I have major cornea issues but when they did the implants there are better IOL lenses that will give you not only great distance but decent up close I now see about 20/35 in the better of my eyes for reading and perfect 20/20 in that same eye with reading glasses. Distance is 20/40 non corrected.

Other eye has issues with stigmatism.

Anyway Prayers sent best to you!
