Thanks for your suggestion but my amp is irrelevant as I'm going to change my amp anyway.

As with many things, it will depend on your tastes, your current and future equipment, your room's dimensions, etc.
I love SF but have never really connected with a pair of futuras despite having heard them several times. I absolutely love the Verity Amadis though, and covet them. If you can stretch, Amadis and Strads are where I'd recommend you listen.
Amadis and Strad are out of my league unfortunately How'd you like the Verity Amadis by the way? I always liked fast forward dynamic sound which is why I moved from SF Guarneri Memento to B&W 805 then 804D2. However I've been thinking to move back to SF lately and one of the candidates are SF Amati Futura and also been considering Verity Leonore. It's not going to happen soon but sometime in 2013 I want to move to either SF or Verity (have no dealers around my area so I can't audition what it sounds like)

Bill mentioned a few weeks ago that there were a couple of pairs of used Strads on the East coast (Eastern Canada I think?) that people had traded in for Aidas. Might want to check that out if they are still around as they may be priced even better than both the Amadis (rare used) and Futura.
Very good suggestion and I appreciate that. Yes they are not in the same price range for new but I have someone in european countries who can sell me Futura for under 20k to me, so they are kind of in the same price range for me
